Available Trading Instruments

If you want to deal in stock market then lot of options available to trade in stock and commodity market as well as in currency market. I have described available segments below.

  • Equity
    • If you are a beginner, it's best to start trading with equity. Exchanges offer the flexibility to trade intraday or to buy equity for short, medium, or long-term investment horizons. Based on your available capital and risk tolerance, you can decide the quantity of shares to trade. Always make sure to assess your financial capacity and risk before entering the market

      .                                                                                                v
  • Index Future
    • Once you become comfortable with equity cash trading and have built sufficient trading capital, you can progress to futures segments. Exchanges enable trading in Nifty Futures and Bank Nifty Futures, supporting both intraday and positional strategies. These instruments offer leverage but require careful risk management based on your experience and capital.

  • Stock Future
    • Stock futures trading offers high risk and high potential returns, making it riskier than index futures trading due to individual stock volatility. Therefore, only begin trading stock futures once you fully understand all stock market trading rules, as a single incorrect trade can result in significant losses. Exchanges permit trading in stock futures for both intraday and positional strategies, with each stock future having unique lot sizes and margin requirements.

  • Index Options
    • Exchanges offer index options trading on popular indices like Nifty , Bank Nifty , and the recently launched FinNifty . Traders can buy call or put options, or sell (write) them, though option writing requires significantly higher margins. Available contracts include Nifty call/put options, Bank Nifty call/put options, and FinNifty call/put options expiring every Tuesday.
  • Stock Options
    • Same as index options, one can trade in the stock options segment by buying stock calls and puts. If financially strong and knowledgeable, you can also write (sell) stock call and put options, earning premiums but taking on higher risk. Options provide leverage and flexibility, allowing traders to capitalize on market movements or hedge positions.

  • GOLD & SILVER
    • The The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) enables traders to participate in gold and silver markets through futures and options contracts. Depending on your risk appetite and capital, you can trade standard Gold (1 kg lot), Gold Mini (100 grams), Gold Guinea (8 grams), Gold Petal (1 gram), Silver (30 kg), Silver Mini (5 kg), or Silver Micro (1 kg). Margin too high to trade in MCX

  • Crude Oil & Natural Gas
    • The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) allows traders to engage in trading Crude Oil and Natural Gas. Both intraday and positional trading styles are available for these commodities, providing flexibility based on your trading strategy and risk appetite. Both Mega and Mini contract lot available.
  • MCX Options
    • MCX options are derivative contracts traded on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India, India's primary commodity derivatives platform. Multi Commodity Exchange allows trader to trade in Commodity options like GOLD, SILVER, CRUDE, COPPER and ZINC options.
  • Base Metals
    • In the Indian commodity market, “base metals” are industrial, non-precious metals like copper, aluminium, zinc, lead, and nickel traded mainly on MCX as futures and options contracts.  Multi Commodity Exchange allows trader to trade in Base metals like Copper, Nickel, Zinc, Lead, Aluminium.

  • Crypto Currency
    • Cryptocurrency trading involves buying and selling digital assets like Bitcoin and Ethereum on exchanges to profit from price movements. Traders can use spot trading (owning the actual coins), futures/derivatives for leverage, or strategies like day trading and swing trading. The market's high volatility demands strong risk management. Beginners should start small on reputable platforms, use secure wallets, and never invest more than they can afford to lose.
